Classification of Papers
These are specified as science papers, technology application papers and invited including farmer papers. The first two categories are refereed by two appropriate people selected by the editor. Classification of papers into one of the three categories is the ultimate responsibility of the Technical Editor carried out with the senior author.
(a) Science Papers
- The material should be relevant to the conference themes
- The science should have addressed a definite hypothesis
- The design of the experiment (replication over time and space) should be robust enough to prove or disprove the hypothesis. Reports on one year's results from a long-term trial or preliminary results from a short term trial will generally not be accepted
- The summary should be clear enough so that all the above can be interpreted.
- The material should have a fresh new message and application for the pastoral industry.
(b) Technology Application Papers
- The paper must be based on good science and fit the conference themes
- Blatant advertising is to be avoided.
- The technology should be significant enough to make an impact on agricultural productivity.
- The material should have a fresh new message and application for the pastoral industry.
(c) Invited Papers (including farmer papers)
- The papers shall be refereed and edited by the editor but he/she has the right to send them to an independent referee if required.
