Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the NZ Grassland Association online shop. These Terms and Conditions outline the rules and regulations for using our website and purchasing from us. By accessing or using our site, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Introduction

The NZ Grassland Association ("we," "us," or "our") operates this online shop from New Zealand. We sell books, membership registrations, and event registrations. All transactions are subject to New Zealand law, including the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use our site or make a purchase. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time, and continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

3. Products and Services

  • Books: We offer physical books related to grassland management and agriculture.

  • Membership Registration: This provides access to association benefits, such as newsletters, resources, and community events.

  • Event Registration: This allows participation in conferences, workshops, or other association events. All descriptions are accurate to the best of our knowledge, but we reserve the right to correct errors.

4. Pricing and Payment

  • Prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include Goods and Services Tax (GST) at 15% where applicable.

  • Shipping costs for physical items (e.g., books) are included in the product price.

  • Payment must be made at the time of purchase via our secure payment gateway. We accept major credit cards and other methods as listed on the site.

  • We reserve the right to change prices without notice, but orders will be charged at the price displayed at checkout.

5. Shipping and Delivery

  • Shipping is included in the price of physical products.

  • We ship within New Zealand and to select international destinations. Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to factors beyond our control (e.g., postal delays).

  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you upon delivery. If an item arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days for resolution under the Consumer Guarantees Act.

6. Returns and Refunds

  • Books: We have a strict no-return policy on books due to their nature as printed materials. However, if a book is faulty or not as described, we will offer a replacement or refund in line with New Zealand consumer law.

  • Membership and Event Registrations: These are non-refundable once processed, except in cases of event cancellation by us (full refund) or as required by law.

  • Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days.

7. Membership and Event Registration

  • Memberships are valid for the specified period (e.g., one year) from the date of registration.

  • Event registrations are subject to availability and may have additional terms (e.g., codes of conduct) provided at registration.

  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule events. In such cases, we will notify you and offer alternatives or refunds.

8. Cancellation Policy

  • You may cancel an order before it is processed (typically within 24 hours). Contact us immediately.

  • For events, cancellations by you more than 30 days prior may receive a partial refund (less admin fees). Closer to the event, refunds are at our discretion.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on our site, including text, images, and logos, is owned by the NZ Grassland Association or our licensors. You may not reproduce or distribute it without permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of our site or products. Our total liability is limited to the purchase price of the item in question.

11. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy (available on our site) and New Zealand's Privacy Act 2020. We do not share your data without consent, except as required by law.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be resolved in New Zealand courts.
